Christmas Art!

6th Class had the privilege of painting some of our school windows as part of our preparation for Christmas. We had great fun and the finished paintings looked spectacular. Happy Christmas everyone!


Reading Buddies!

6th Class have really enjoyed having 3rd Class in our room for reading time. We paired up with our ‘Reading Buddies’ and have enjoyed listening and reading with them. Well done everyone!


Enterprise Workshop!

Rang a Sé recently participated in an Enterprise Awareness Workshop with Lena Shaw. This workshop was organised by Roscommon Local Enterprise Office. We learned about many areas of enterprise including finance, marketing, teamwork and communication. Thank you Lena for facilitating the workshop!


Welcome Back 6th Class!


Ceramic Confirmation Art!

6th class have been really busy over the last few weeks working with Breda Donohue (our visiting art mentor). They are working on a ceramic piece for Confirmation which will remain as a permanent display in the school. Big thanks to Breda for her time and hard work, the children have really enjoyed it!


Basketball Blitz!

6th class had a great day at the basketball blitz in the convent gym in Roscommon. The girls won all their matches and are through to the County semi final. The boys won 2 out of 3 matches but lost out to a very strong team from Castlerea. We are looking forward to supporting the girls in the semi final. 


I’m an Engineer get me out of here!!

6th class took part in ‘I’m an Engineer get me out of here’ in the production zone. They were able to ask questions and live chat with 6 engineers who took part in the event. They voted for their favourite engineer and Diane won in the end. She got €500 to invest in a project of her choice. The children really enjoyed participating in this event and learned about different engineering jobs. 


Grandparents’ Day!

6th class wrote a letter to one of their grandparents for Grandparents’ Day. The children received letters back and they read them out in class. The children really enjoyed getting their letters and hearing what it was like for their grandparents when they were growing up. This will be something they will treasure in the future.


Away With A Manger by 5th and 6th ….

Our Christmas production told the hilarious story of two bungling burglars who are on the run with a bag of stolen jewels. Through a strange turn of events, the jewels are hidden in the local school’s nativity manger……. We had so much fun!  


Marine Life

Martina Butler spoke to 6th class about the importance of looking after our global water. The children learned about plants and animals which live along our shores.
