First class had great fun orienteering. We worked hard with our partners to read a map of the school grounds and did our best to complete the course as quick as we could!
In May, we loved taking part in Active Week. Every day we had new activities to try. We enjoyed the line dancing and the stations. But our favourite day was Sport’s Day!
4th Class recently completed some research projects about different countries from around the world. We enjoyed working in groups and presenting our findings to other classes. We learned lots of interesting facts about other countries!
Congratulations to our camogie team who participated in the Cumann na mBunscol camogie blitz day recently! The girls were victorious in both of their games and have qualified for the county semi-final. Well done girls!
Well done to our girls and boys 5 a-side soccer teams who competed in the FAI Schools 5 a-side soccer finals recently at Lecarrow soccer grounds. Although no silverware was lifted on the day, both teams played with determination, skill and teamwork in all their games. Well done boys and girls!
Congratulations to our school team who reached the All-Ireland Final of the Irish League of Credit Union’s Quiz!
6th class have been really busy over the last few weeks working with Breda Donohue (our visiting art mentor). They are working on a ceramic piece for Confirmation which will remain as a permanent display in the school. Big thanks to Breda for her time and hard work, the children have really enjoyed it!
On the day of the Easter holidays, we went on an Easter egg hunt around the school grounds. We all went home with a delicious chocolate egg, yum!
3rd class took their learning to the outdoors this week. We worked in groups to complete a Maths trail around the school grounds. We really enjoying learning about how Maths is always around us and how it is used in real life situations!
We loved creating an aerial view of our classroom together. After we were finished we drew it into our copies.
