We went on a minibeast hunt around the school grounds. We brought magnifying glasses and bug catchers with us to see what we could find! We founds spiders, flies, worms, ants, beetles, bees and a slug! It was so much fun!
First class had great fun orienteering. We worked hard with our partners to read a map of the school grounds and did our best to complete the course as quick as we could!
In May, we loved taking part in Active Week. Every day we had new activities to try. We enjoyed the line dancing and the stations. But our favourite day was Sport’s Day!
4th Class recently completed some research projects about different countries from around the world. We enjoyed working in groups and presenting our findings to other classes. We learned lots of interesting facts about other countries!
6th class have been really busy over the last few weeks working with Breda Donohue (our visiting art mentor). They are working on a ceramic piece for Confirmation which will remain as a permanent display in the school. Big thanks to Breda for her time and hard work, the children have really enjoyed it!
On the day of the Easter holidays, we went on an Easter egg hunt around the school grounds. We all went home with a delicious chocolate egg, yum!
3rd class took their learning to the outdoors this week. We worked in groups to complete a Maths trail around the school grounds. We really enjoying learning about how Maths is always around us and how it is used in real life situations!
We loved creating an aerial view of our classroom together. After we were finished we drew it into our copies.
This month we have been learning all about healthy eating! We followed a procedure and made a delicious chicken salad sandwich! Yummy!
